Creative Apprentices
The Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) are accepting applications for round 3 for the Creative Apprentices scheme. The scheme helps museums recruit young apprentices, up to the age of 24 years old. Grants of £5,000 are made to the museum for the creative apprentice.
The Creative Apprentice may be used to fill skills gaps or staff shortages in areas like front of house, education or outreach. Creative Apprenticeships are designed for people who have not attained Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications.
The scheme was developed by Creative and Cultural Skills as part of the national Apprenticeship programme, supported by the National Apprenticeship Service.
The deadline for applications is 14 May 2010.
