Today the Grow your Tenner 2014 campaign has launched. Donations of up to £10 will be matched by Localgiving.com. This means that taking Gift Aid and fees into account, every £10 donation will be worth £21.55 to you. Monthly donations up to £10 per month for 6 months will also be matched.

All charities with active memberships are eligible to receive match funding, with up to £12,000 available for each group (depending how long the money lasts).

Localgiving is an online donation site, which unusually allows groups which are not charities (but have charitable objects) to claim Gift Aid, the refund of income tax on donations. This can particularly benefits smaller community groups.

There is a cost to join, and a fee taken from donations, but if you regularly receive online donations it could be very useful.
