A new grants programme will launch on Monday 4th October. The grants are available for voluntary and community organisations who can support people to engage in nature based interventions and activities, and connect with local social prescribing services.
This is part of a substantial Green Social Prescribing Programme aiming to tackle and prevent mental ill health, for which South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw is one of seven national test and learn sites.
The launch webinar will explain more about the Green Social Prescribing Programme, the priorities identified by communities for the grants programme, and the support that will be available for voluntary and community groups. We will be joined at the webinar by:
South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care System – leading the programme in collaboration with health, care and voluntary and community sector partners.
Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust – leading community engagement work for the programme.
Yorkshire Sport Foundation – grants programme partner.
South Yorkshire's Community Foundation will explain how to apply, and SYFAB will say what support is available
£400,000 is available and the majority of grants supported will be for up to £1000, or £1000 to £10,000. A small number of exceptional projects may be supported over 10,000 and up to £30,000.
