This is a scheme run by the Coalfields Regeneration Trust to support community organisations/social enterprises to become more enterprising and sustainable. It can provide practical support for groups in several ways, including:
-
one to onesupport from the Social Investment Manager including up to 2 days of free consultancy to assist with development needs such as advice on funding/finance, project development and financial modelling
-
where a specific development need has been identified organisations may be invited to apply for the Development Fund which will assist with the costs of producing or providing for example: business plans; legal advice or building development
To access the programme your organisation must be serving people in an eligible coalfield ward. There is a list of eligible wards here. The scheme is open to legally constituted/registered, not for personal profit organisation/social enterprise or an organisation/social enterprise that is actively seeking to become registered/incorporated.
