The Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown has hit communities across South Yorkshire hard. We know that it has affected people with disabilities and health conditions communities particularly badly.
We also know that community groups across South Yorkshire are doing brilliant work to save lives and relieve hardship.
South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation is making grants of up to £5,000 to community groups and not-for-profit organisations, to support the following:
-
Delivering services to vulnerable people (e.g. food banks, befriending schemes and other crucial community services)
-
Providing information, advice, counselling and other support to help people cope with isolation and emotional stress
-
Supporting essential running costs to enable community organisations to deliver vital services
-
Enabling community organisations βto deliver differently (e.g. equipment for remote working or telephone helplines rather than face-to-face support)
We are particularly keen to fund applications from disability community groups.
This webinar will explain what the fund is, and how to apply. The speaker will be Sam Caldwell, the Foundation's Head of Grants, and Peter Foyle from SYFAB.
You need to book a place - we will send out the Zoom link an hour before the session. If you have any specfic requirements to help you access the information, please let us know and we will do our best to help.
