Diversify your Income - Creating a Funding Strategy explores different potential sources of income and why a plan is essential.
This interactive session helps you outline a plan for how to get funding from each of the sources appropriate for your project and capacity and how to prioritise your fundraising based on the plan.
Our tutor, Laura Baker has many years experience of successful fundraising from a wide variety of sources including trusts & foundations but also working to an agreed funding strategy. She will be sharing her tips and expertise with you.
So how does it work?
• The session will use Zoom to create a virtual classroom, where presentations and group interactive exercises will take place, just like they do in a traditional classroom
• There will be time to work independently to begin developing a funding strategy for your organisation, that reflects your organisation’s capabilities and capacity
• There is time scheduled for breaks.
This session will help you:
• Identify funding sources appropriate for your organisation
• Outline a plan to get funding from each of the sources appropriate for your project and capacity
• Discuss the purpose of a fundraising strategy
• Begin drawing up a fundraising strategy for your project.
This session is aimed at those new to creating and using a fundraising strategy, or those who have some experience but would like the space to reflect on their understanding.
