The session is organised by Barnsley Central Area Team for groups in their area who have little or no experience of getting grants for their activities

The session will cover:

• Different sources of funding (ie donations, earnings, grants from trusts, lottery, public money) and the pros & cons of each
• How to identify the best grant funders for projects, using the SYFAB database, including information on the Community Foundation grants and Barnsley Council Ward Pots
• What funders need to know about you
• How to put a good application together – presentation, tailoring bids to funders, organising the process. What to say and what not to say in a bid.

Bookings are particularly welcomed from groups in the Worsbrough, Kingstone, Stairfoot, Dodworth and Central wards.
