The session is organised by Barnsley Central Area Team for groups in their area who have little or no experience of getting grants for their activities
The session will cover:

Different sources of funding (ie donations, earnings, grants from trusts, lottery, public money) and the pros & cons of each

How to identify the best grant funders for projects, using the SYFAB database, including information on the Community Foundation grants and Barnsley Council Ward Pots

What funders need to know about you

How to put a good application together – presentation, tailoring bids to funders, organising the process. What to say and what not to say in a bid.
Bookings are particularly welcomed from groups in the Worsbrough, Kingstone, Stairfoot, Dodworth and Central wards.
